Friendship between boy and girl?

Recently a friend of mine posted a link on my Facebook wall in which it was stated that true friendship between boys and girls is usually hard to conceive, but when you get that it’s extraordinarily strong and long-lasting.

Well for my personal experience in life, and for what I’ve been told by friends all over the years, I can easily disagree with that statement.

I mean: there can be friendship between a boy and a girl only under one, strict, condition. This condition is that at least one of the two is not good-looking. It’s easy to explain this: unless you get this fundamental condition, there will be sexual interest by one of the two towards the other, willing it or not. You will always have some *fancy* thoughts for your friend, you will always *hope* that sooner or later the other will melt down and so love will develop from friendship.

If not love then sex at least. Whoever believes the contrary simply has his own eyes wide shut or is not good-looking at all (so, non attractive to anyone).

I definitely would be interested in having some feedback upon this particular subject…
